Miconazole Nitrate Cream (OTC)

  • This product contains 0.3 grams of miconazole nitrate Excipients are: glycerin monostearate, paraffin, liquid paraffin, white vaseline, octadecanol, polysorbate 80, glycerin and ethylparaben. It is white or off-white cream.
    It is suitable for:
    1. Infection of skin and finger (toe) nail caused by skin fungi, yeasts and other fungi, such as: tinea corporis and cruris, tinea of feet and hands, tinea versicolor, tinea capitis, tinea beard and tinea thyroid; Candidiasis of skin and nail; angular cheilitis, otitis externa. Because of its antimicrobial activity against Gram-positive bacteria, it can be used for secondary infections caused by such bacteria.

    2. Vaginal infections and secondary infections caused by yeast (such as Candida) and Gram-positive bacteria.

    Usage: 1. Skin infection  For external use. Apply it to the affected area once in the morning and evening, and continue to use it for 10 days after the symptoms disappear (usually 2 to 5 weeks) to prevent recurrence.  2. Finger (toe) nail infection    Remove the affected nail as much as possible, apply it to the affected area once a day, and continue to use it after the nail is loosened (about 2 to 3 weeks) until new nail begins to grow. It usually takes about 7 months to see the curative effect. 3. Monilia vaginitis   Squeeze the ointment (about 5 g) into the vagina with an applicator before going to bed every day. It must be used continuously for 2 weeks. It can also be used during menstruation. Re-use after the second recurrence is still effective.
